(“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is offering a limited-time promotion that includes the installation and setup of one (1) smart switch at no additional charge when a customer books and completes any paid electrical service. This page outlines the full terms, conditions, and limitations of this offer.

By booking a service appointment or participating in this offer, the customer (“you” or “client”) acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms and conditions.

1. Offer Eligibility

  • This promotional offer is valid only for residential customers who book a paid electrical service with TW Electric Service Inc.

  • The free smart switch installation is available and limited to 1 per household.

  • The offer applies to standard smart light switch installations only. Specialty smart devices (such as dimmers, multi-way switches, or custom configurations) may incur additional labor or material costs.

  • Offer availability is subject to change or cancellation at any time without prior notice.

2. Code Compliance and Safety Requirements

  • The complimentary smart switch installation is contingent upon the existing electrical wiring, circuit, and enclosure meeting current NEC (National Electrical Code) and local electrical safety standards.

  • TW Electric Service Inc. reserves the right to decline installation of the smart switch if, in the professional judgment of our licensed electricians, the circuit or wiring is unsafe, outdated, damaged, improperly grounded, or otherwise non-compliant.

  • The Company will not install the device in any situation that could compromise electrical safety, code compliance, or the integrity of the system.

3. Customer Responsibility and Remediation

  • If TW Electric determines that the electrical circuit or wiring is not suitable for the installation of a smart switch, the customer will be notified of the issue and provided with a repair or upgrade estimate.

  • The customer may choose to have TW Electric perform the required corrective work at standard rates to bring the affected area up to code.

  • Once the necessary repairs or upgrades are completed (either by TW Electric or by another licensed electrical contractor and verified as compliant), TW Electric will proceed with the free smart switch installation at no cost for labor or the device itself.

  • Declining the corrective work does not entitle the customer to a replacement or cash value for the smart switch offer.

4. Limitations and Exclusions

  • This offer does not apply to diagnostic-only appointments, warranty repairs, or estimates without approved paid work.

  • Smart switch brand, model, and specifications are selected by TW Electric Service Inc. based on availability and compatibility.

  • Offer excludes installations requiring:

    • Low-voltage, three-phase, or commercial wiring

    • Specialty control systems (e.g., Lutron, Control4, KNX)

    • Multi-gang, 3-way, or 4-way switch configurations beyond standard wiring

    • Structural modifications to walls, boxes, or panels

  • Offer is non-transferable and has no cash or substitution value.

5. Liability and Warranty Disclaimer

  • TW Electric Service Inc. performs all installations using standard, licensed practices in accordance with NEC and local electrical codes.

  • The Company is not liable for:

    • Pre-existing electrical defects or hazards in the customer’s property

    • Damage resulting from improper or unsafe electrical conditions

    • Smart device malfunction, software issues, or connectivity problems outside the scope of physical installation

  • All work performed is covered under the Company’s standard workmanship warranty, which excludes manufacturer defects or customer tampering.

  • The smart switch itself is covered under any manufacturer’s warranty; TW Electric does not provide replacement for devices covered under manufacturer fault.

6. Licensing and Insurance

TW Electric Service Inc. is a licensed and insured electrical contractor operating in compliance with all North Carolina state and local laws.

All services are performed by or under the supervision of a licensed electrician.

7. Customer Acknowledgment

By checking the acknowledgment box at the time of booking, the customer agrees that they:

  • Have read and understood this disclosure and its terms.

  • Understand that the free smart switch offer is contingent upon booking and completing a paid service.

  • Understand that the free installation will only be completed if all safety and code requirements are met.

  • Release TW Electric Service Inc. and its employees from liability for conditions that prevent the smart switch installation due to safety or code compliance issues.
